Diamond of Istanbul multithreading skyscraper project is located in Maslak, which is in the north of Istanbul. Maslak is recently the most popular business and shopping center in Istanbul. This is because Maslak is located on overlap of main transit roads, and this region is the junction to city center from north direction. Büyükdere street, on which the project is located, is the main transmitting road. Because of this, most of all projects planned recently prefer this street. In recent years, we can see lots of prestigious offices, shopping centers and housing projects especially in Levent – Maslak. Most important reason is that since second part of 1990s, city center of Istanbul has started to move north and alternative settlements have been created on this region. Diamond of Istanbul multithreading skyscraper project consists of 5 main functions. Construction of the project, which is stipulated to have 61 flats totally, began in 2004 and it is estimated. The project is planned to be 161000 m2 building site on 12000 m2 field. The building consists of 3 towers that has been situated on ferroconcrete stone and towers are designed as steel columned – strengthen frame. So Diamond of Istanbul project is the first steel – Ferro concrete skyscraper. Steel project design of the building is designed by ‘Thornton-Thomassetti Engineers’, who designed the most prestigious skyscrapers worldwide. Elevator, fireplace, facing, automation, traffic, mechanical electrical facilities are consulted by ‘OveArup Partners’, shopping center is designed by ‘Chapman & Taylor’, and lastly hotel is designed by ‘Otelteknik’.
